The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB is a wireless fire and carbon monoxide detector designed for residential use. It has heat, smoke, and CO sensors and can communicate with the Ajax hub or function autonomously. It has a built-in siren and LED indication for alerts and can be controlled through the Ajax app. The detector is easy to install and has a long battery life. It is compatible with various Ajax systems and has features such as a false alarm filter and tamper protection.
The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB (Heat/Smoke/CO) is a next-gen indoor wireless fire and carbon monoxide detector with heat, smoke and CO sensors designed for residential fire safety.
Equipped with a siren (piezoelectric buzzer) for sound notification of alarms and events with a volume of up to 85 dB (at a distance of 3m from the detector).
FireProtect 2 detects smoke with a bispectral optical sensor that allows the detector to determine the size of the volatile particles inside the chamber and respond only to smoke, ignoring vapour and steam.
Two built-in class A1R thermistors notify of alarms when a rapid temperature rise or static temperature is detected in the range of +54C to +65C and the smoke chamber is also protected from dust, dirt, and insects.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is colorless, odorless, and otherwise imperceptible without a carbon monoxide detector. FireProtect 2 warns about a dangerous CO concentration at the level of 50 ppm before even the first signs of poisoning occur.
The Ajax automation devices can respond to FireProtect 2 alarms and perform user-defined actions using automation scenarios. For example, the WallSwitch relay can turn off the ventilation system and turn on emergency lighting when an alarm occurs.
The FireProtect 2 detector operates as part of the Ajax system, communicating with the hub via the Jeweller secure radio protocol but can also be used autonomously without connecting to an Ajax hub. In this case, the detector notifies of fire or smoke with only a built-in siren and LED indication.
Users dont receive notifications on any Ajax apps, including Ajax Translator, or PRO Desktop. The Interconnected Fire Detectors Alarms feature is also unavailable for this operation mode.
Compatible with Hub Plus, Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus, Hub Hybrid, ReX and ReX 2 (OS Malevich 2.14.1 and higher).
